2020 marks the 10th anniversary of the Shop Small movement. Originated in 2010 by American Express, the campaign aimed to “celebrate small businesses every day and to help communities thrive and stay vibrant”.

This year of COVID19 closures and restrictions may make 2020 the most important year of the past 10 to shop and dine small businesses in your community. Our local retailers contribute to area tax base which provides public infrastructure and services; benefitting the city as a whole. Not to mention employment opportunities.
