Muskegon County attractions have begun to reopen with a focus on health and safety of staff, area residents and visitors. With these newly implemented safety precautions put in place, limited capacity and wait times can be expected. But, who is open?

Visit Muskegon has compiled a list of area attractions and museums showing their current status, which will be updated as more locations start to open their doors.

Click on the name of the attraction for more information in the Visit Muskegon directory. In the list below, we have included hours (if available) and links to corresponding Facebook pages.

Block, The
Live performances are planned to return in 2021. In the meantime, they are sharing online live and previous performances on their YouTube and Facebook pages.

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp
No camping or live performances for the 2020 season, but Blue Lake’s Virtual Arts 2020 is providing free online arts content.  These range from recitals, lessons, presentations, to camp fun with an arts focus geared for all audiences.

Frauenthal Center and Beardsley Theater
Due to continuing concerns about community health and well-being caused by the outbreak of COVID-19, The Frauenthal Center will be suspending all public and private events through December 31, 2020.

Getty Drive-In Theatre 
4 outdoor screens showing double features, and live-streaming concerts, beginning at dusk. Tickets are pre-sale and weekend shows have been selling out!

Muskegon Civic Theater 
Live performances scheduled to begin in 2021. Muskegon Civic Theatre is proud to announce their fall concert fundraiser series: The Fire Pit Follies. You and your friends and family can enjoy a Broadway concert in your own driveway, front yard, back yard, or patio – performed by the actors you’ve come to know and love at MCT.

Playhouse at White Lake, The
Live performances and events postponed through the end of August 2020. Until then, The Playhouse of Whitelake presents “From Our House to Yours Summer Theatre“. Six weekends of livestream shows consisting of an intimate, one or two person cast will be broadcast to a virtual audience from the 103-year-old stage. This plan to live stream events is now possible with the technical upgrades that were made during the recent renovations.

Hours: Monday through Saturday 10 am – 2 pm

West Michigan Symphony
Live performances postponed until September 25, 2020. Check the West Michigan Symphony’s YouTube and Facebook pages as they share various concert and audio clips. There are also special “lockdown” performances from WMS musicians being posted.

Aquastar Cruises
Public cruises have been postponed until the 2021 sailing season. The Aquastar is available for 2020 private charters with limited passenger capacity until mid-October.

Michigans Adventure
Michigan’s Adventure water park “WildWater Adventure Park” is now open. The Amusement Park is temporarily closed and 2020 Season Passes have been extended into 2021.  “Camp Snoopy” will be a new addition to the park next year.
