United Way of the Lakeshore will be hosting a community conversation after a showing of the documentary “Up From The Bottoms” on February 11th at the Muskegon Public High School Auditorium at 5:00 PM (showing to actually start at 5:15 PM). Up From The Bottoms follows the personal stories of African-Americans, now in their 80’s and 90’s who migrated north in the 1940’s to the war factories of Muskegon Michigan. This documentary was the Best Film or Video Depicting the Black Experience in the Berlin Black International Cinema Festival. This documentary was written by Barbara Roos & James Schaub.
