Sentinel Between Two Lakes: The White River Light Station

May 04

Would you believe the White River Light Station has been shining bright for 147 years? Matt Varnum, curator of the White River Light Station & Museum, will visit the White Lake Community Library on Wednesday, May 4th, at 6pm to present the history of this White Lake icon, built to guide the lumber schooners and later the larger passenger ships into port and help ships navigate the channel that connects Lake Michigan to White Lake. Discover facts about the history of the station, and learn how you can continue to keep the light shining into the future. For more information and registration, visit wlclib.org.
