Join Pigeon Hill in the Brewer’s Lounge for our first ever PINTwood Derby Competition! This event is to bring out the kid in all of us. So get competitive, grab a beer and challenge your friends to the Pintwood Derby! This event is open up to all ages.
We’ll have derby practice runs before the PINTwood Derby Competition so you can test out your set of wheels!
Practice Runs: we’ll set up the derby track in the brewhouse to give you the opportunity to race your car during these times: Monday March 21 (7-9pm), March 28 (7-9pm) & Monday April 4th (5-9pm).

Check-In Week: Monday April 4- April 9th. Cars must be checked in by Saturday, April 9th by 3pm (we’ve got an event that we’ll be busy with). Bring your derby car in and get it weighed in and into the competition!
Derby Day: Sunday, April 10th. First heat starts at 1pm!

RACE DAY: Sunday, April 10th AT 1PM
5oz. Class Rules
CAR BODY
– The main body structure must be made of wood. The car design may be enhanced by the addition of other stable materials such as plastic or metal. Any additions must be firmly attached and meet car size specifications.
– The car must meet the following specifications:
– Width: not to exceed 2 3/4 inches
– Length including Wheels: not to exceed 7 inches
– Weight: not to exceed 5 ounces
– Height: not to exceed 3 inches
WHEELS – It needs to have 4 wheels.
AXLES – Metal Axles with a nail head are required
WEIGHTS- Don’t poison us with Lead weights. There are safer alternatives these days!
RACE CHECK IN
– Each car must pass inspection by the Official Derby Beer Committee before it may compete. Check in starts Monday, April 4th and closes Saturday, April 9th at 3:00pm. Bring car to Pigeon Hill’s Brewer’s Lounge for inspection.
– After a car has passed inspection, only race officials may handle the car.
– After approved inspection, cars will be parked and kept safe at PH
– After check-in, car repairs are not allowed unless authorized by the Derby Beer officials
