Olive Oil History & Tasting with Expert Peter Warnock

Saturday, November 2 from 5:30pm – 6:30pm, come to the Book Nook & Java Shop for a workshop on Olive Oil History & Tasting with expert Peter Warnock!  What is the best olive oil for your kitchen?  How do you pick a good olive oil?  What is the best way to use olive oil (Hint: it is NOT deep frying!)?  What do all the various designations and labels mean?  Dr. Peter Warnock is a White Lake native (Whitehall HS class of ’75).  He has a BA in biology from Hope College and an MA (Texas A&M) and Ph.D. (Missouri) in Anthropology specializing in Archaeological botany.  He has worked on numerous excavations in the Middle East as well as his own internationally recognized research on ancient and traditional olive oil processing.

Dinner will be available at 6:00pm featuring Chicken Alfredo with Spinach & Bacon for only $12.  For more information call 231-894-5333.
