Muskegon Lake Spring Volunteer Cleanup 2021
April 25 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
Just show up!
Always one of our favorite times of the year to make a difference for our community. Muskegon has the best volunteers! The Muskegon Lake Watershed Partnership and our partners – UAW Local 637, West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission (WMSRDC), The Greater Muskegon Jaycees, City of Muskegon, Muskegon County, West Michigan United Labor (WMUL), DTE, Muskegon Co. Environmental Coordinating Council, Greater and United Way of the Lakeshore – along with other generous, local volunteers will team up, once again, to improve Muskegon Lake shoreline and watershed locations along the Lakeshore Trail from the Muskegon River to Lake Michigan and along it’s tributaries.
NOTE: Social distancing & mask wearing where necessary will be in effect.
• 8:00 – Meet at The Depot at 610 W. Western Ave. for your instructions, locations & supplies – we will disperse quickly to get to work as soon as instructions are given out.
* PLEASE DRESS IN LAYERS for changing weather conditions along the shoreline. Plan to get wet but be safe! Please do not disturb wildlife. Bring rubber gloves or work gloves if you have them. Wear old shoes, rubber boots, hip boots or waders. You can even ride your bicycle to the cleanup locations along the Lakeshore Trail.
Most of all… have fun!

It has been brought to our attention of the concern of Covid on the rise in Michigan and this upcoming Muskegon Lake Spring Cleanup event. Please know, that our event is after the 2 week pause recommended by Governor Whitmer. We will go by the State of Michigan and CDC rules and guidelines on April 25 (whatever the rules are by then, including canceling if needed). At the event, we social distance during the meet up, ask that people wear masks, we don’t gather indoors afterward, we stay in our small groups.
