Kenji is touring in anticipation of an upcoming release with percussionist Jonathan Barahal Taylor and bassist Andrew Peck (GR Native). The music represents explorations through jazz, folk (both western & Japanese), classical, and rock music – ultimately synthesizing the material in a way that provides the groundwork for honest creative expression. The music is joyful and generous – creating universes of emotions and formal possibilities behind catchy melodic statements.
