ForeShore Adventure Run 2022
Muskegon Rescue Mission’s ForeShore Adventure Run is the lakeshore’s premier 5k obstacle course run. Situated on Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon, MI you hardly notice the pain in your legs as run this course filled with gorgeous views of Lake Michigan. ForeShore features over 20 obstacles suited for anyone and everyone to conquer.
Every registration, every apparel purchase and every donation helps Muskegon Rescue Mission provide nutritious meals, safe shelter and life-changing services to homeless men, women and children in West Michigan.
While the run will be held at the same time and place it always has been, Pere Marquette Beach, there’s plenty that’s new and noteworthy about the event. For starters, the run will feature many new trails through various terrains, including wooded, dunes, grass, sandy areas and watercourse obstacles! The 25 obstacles vary from crawling over walls, swinging through water hazards, running through beach balls and ending with a 50-foot waterslide!
Timeslots are already filling up quickly! “Participation is at an all-time high this year,” said Dan Skoglund, Executive Director of Muskegon Rescue Mission. “With about two weeks until the event, we expect to have a record number of runners participate this year. This is great because as the event continues to grow, we are able to help those experiencing hunger and homelessness in an even greater way,” he added. Every registration, every apparel purchase and every donation will help the Muskegon Rescue Mission provide nutritious meals, safe shelter and life-changing services to homeless men, women and children in West Michigan.
Also, residents of the City of Muskegon that possess a parking pass will be able to park for free at the event. However, non-Muskegon residents or those without a parking pass will be required to pay for parking per the City of Muskegon’s parking policy. Non-residents may purchase a seasonal pass for $20 or pay $10 if they elect to park in Pere Marquette Park or other select areas along the waterway on the day of the event.
