Downtown Muskegon Walking Tours: Historic Walking Tours
Join us for a 90-minute walking tour to explore Muskegon’s rich history as well as its exciting present!
Turn of the Century Tour: Take a look at turn-of-the-century Muskegon as we discuss how the city changed after lumbering came to an end, and what businesses replaced it. This tour will also discuss what life was like for the average Muskegonite. This tour pairs nicely with the Muskegon Museum of Art’s Dressing the Abbey exhibit.
Historic Walking Tour: Learn about the past and current uses and occupants of many of Muskegon’s historic businesses and residences. Learn about the McCrackenBuilding, the story of Charles Hackley’s father, what life was like for the Spaniola family running a market on Western Avenue, and other interesting stories about historic downtown Muskegon.
