Calvin University’s January Series

January 24

The January Series cultivates deep thought and conversations about important issues of the day in order to inspire cultural renewal and make us better global citizens in this world.

We invite you to join us in the Beardsley Theater at the Frauenthal Center as a remote location for this FREE 15-day lecture series. The series takes place each January on the campus of Calvin University weekdays January 10-28, 2022 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. EST.

Monday, January 24: G. Sujin Pak
“Wrestling with the Word: Biblical Interpretation through Church History”

Throughout her teaching and research, G. Sujin Pak has explored the history of biblical interpretation. To succeed in this endeavor, she learned to master a variety of perspectives, as well as the social contexts where those perspectives emerged. She teaches others to do the same.
