Grab your fishing pole! Free Fishing Weekend takes place June 11 & 12 courtesy of the Michigan Department of Natural Resouces. Muskegon County offers 23 inland lakes, 26 miles of Lake Michigan Shoreline and 400 miles of river to cast your line into. No fishing license needed this weekend…but bait, poles and smiles are!

• Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes’ waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply.
• A Recreation Passport will NOT be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites during Free Fishing Weekends.
