Let’s start out with a no brainer… The beach! What is a Fourth of July weekend without some sun, sand and crystal clear Lake Michigan water! Grab your family and some sunscreen and hit Muskegon’s 26 miles of beach this weekend, weatherman is predicting sunny and 80’s!

Once you’ve soaked up enough sun, check out The Lakeshore Art Festival in Downtown Muskegon on July 1st or 2nd! Here you will find as many as 300 fine art and craft booths lining the streets. There will also be interactive arts, street performers and roving musicians.artfest

Conveniently, you can cross the street from the Lakeshore Art Festival and join in the fun at Heritage Landing where RockStock will also be taking place on July 1st and 2nd. Friday night you can see “The Voice” star Joshua Davis with special guest Steve Rivers and Saturday features Led Zeppelin 2 with special guest Crazy Babies, followed by Muskegon’s Fourth of July firework celebration around dusk.

If you are still ready to celebrate after all of that, take a trip up to the beautiful downtown Montague area where you can catch the White Lake Parade (10am) and Fireworks (dusk) on the Fourth of July.

If you haven’t made your plans yet, head on over to Muskegon this weekend for the sand, stars and spectacular shows!
